Functional Skills English Level 2 Exam

The qualification involves 3 exams: a 1 hour reading exam; a 1 hour writing exam; and a 1 hour speaking, listening & communicating exam.

— Writing: This section is based on your ability to write clearly, and effectively, which is a focal point of the marking criteria, while also assessing your grammar, spelling and punctuation.
— Reading: This section challenges your analysis of different abstracts or texts, focusing on their language and structure, as well as their presentational features, while discussing a number of sources.
— Speaking, listening and communication: This section is a group assessment alongside other learners through a video call, assessing your ability to effectively communicate, speak, and listen.
