3 Sit your exam

4 Receive your results
GCSE results are released on a national results day each year, usually taking place on the third Thursday in August, when grades are issued across all subjects and exam boards.
As you’re taking GCSE Biology as a private candidate, your results will normally be issued directly by your exam centre on this day. It’s important to check how your centre provides results, as some require collection in person, while others send them by email or post.

Is there an option to sit this GCSE online?
No, as GCSEs can only be sat in person once a year which means that they aren’t ideal for everyone. You can book your in person GCSE Biology exam through Pass GCSE or MME Exams. An alternative option is a GCSE Biology Equivalency, this is an equivalent qualification to a GCSE and can be sat year round and online.
Will I need to complete any experiments for this?
No, as our exams are Edexcel IGCSE you are not required to complete any biology practicals.
When will the GCSE biology private exams be?
GCSE Biology private exams are sat each year in summer and November. Usually, you can take a biology GCSE resit during these times.
As the GCSE Biology exams are only run twice a year, this gives you lots of time to revise for your exams. The Pass GCSE course and exam option would be your best bet to help you get ready for your exam. We will set you up at a GCSE Biology private candidate.
